Tjaša Kermavnar
BDes (Industrial Design), MD
Tjaša is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Limerick with a background in medicine and Industrial design. As an ergonomics enthusiast, she is interested in specific and everyday problem identification and solving, preferably implementing inventive and innovative solutions that would provide safety and comfort for the user. She was awarded a doctoral degree by the University of Limerick in January 2020,for a Thesis on Circumferential compression of the lower limb and its implications for soft exoskeleton design. Her current research focuses on 3D printing in ergonomics and medicine.
She worked as an assistant lecturer at Academy of Fine Arts and Design (2011-2014) and as a teacher of product design at Secondary School for Design and Photography (2014-16) in Ljubljana. She wrote and designed an illustrated textbook on ergonomics for design students in 2013.
