Alice's current research area includes developing 3D printing ink formulations with enhanced properties. She is currently working on her doctorate, which involves creating a novel antimicrobial material suitable for 3D printing percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube accessories for patients with Cystic Fibrosis. This research is funded by the Irish Research Council and the National Children's Research Centre, Crumlin. Previous research projects include screen printing bone scaffolding, developing anti-foulding coatings and radiopaque 3D printing.
